Playoffs

Since major events were canceled and prohibited in several federal states and municipalities due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the German Ice Hockey League decided on March 10, 2020 not to let the playoffs take place. So there is no German champion this season. The league decided to nominate the main round winners EHC Red Bull Munich together with the Adler Mannheim, Straubing Tigers and Eisbären Berlin as German representatives for the 2020/21 Champions Hockey League .
