The German ice hockey championship in 1929 was the 13th edition of these championships .

The championship games took place on February 19-21, 1929 on the Riessersee near Garmisch-Partenkirchen . The originally planned event in Berlin had to be abandoned as there was no ice facility available in the Sports Palace and other stadiums were out of the question due to the mild weather.

The games were three times 15 minutes according to international rules.
