The German ice hockey championship in 1913 was the second edition of these championships .

All amateur teams of the German Ice Skating Association (DEV) were eligible to play. The championship was originally supposed to be held as part of the winter sports week in Schierke , but had to be canceled due to the weather. Only the Berlin teams played a game for the price of the spa administration that was viewed as a qualifying game for the championship. This was the new edition of the previous year's championship game .

These group matches in the group south took place on January 25-27, 1913 in Munich on Unsöld's ice rink . They were integrated into the hosting of the European ice hockey championship in 1913 . The DEHG Prague was a member of the German Skating Federation, represented the same time at the European Championship, the Austria . It is unclear whether the intermediate round match against MTV Munich was part of the German championship or whether it was a friendly match.

The final was finally held on March 19, 1913 in the Berlin Ice Palace . Last year's winner of the Berlin Ice Skating Club was able to defend its title.
