The German Ice Hockey Championship in 1924 was the eighth edition of these championships .

All amateur teams of the German Ice Skating Association (DEV) were eligible to play, but not more than two teams from one town or district.
The championship took place in Oberhof at the beginning of February 1924 .
In addition to two Berlin representatives, SC Riessersee traveled to the final tournament. On site, however, there were disagreements about the tender and in particular Riessersee refused to compete against both Berlin teams. For their part, the team had previously had to qualify via the Bavarian Championship . Finally, SC Charlottenburg decided not to participate and only played two friendly matches against the other participants. Thus, the German championship was decided again only in one game.

More games

In a friendly game after the championship game (on the same day), Charlottenburg won against Riessersee 4-2. The day before, the Berlin ice skating club had won 6: 5 against SC Charlottenburg, although some top performers from the BSchC played for Charlottenburg, while reserve players were used on the side of the master. In the literature, these games are occasionally counted as part of the championship, which means that Charlottenburg is shown as runner-up.
