The 1992/93 season of the ice hockey Bundesliga was the 35th season of the top German division. For the fourth time in a row, the Düsseldorfer EG became German champions . The last time EV Füssen succeeded in doing this was in the 1950s. However, the Allgäu had won seven German championships in a row from 1953 to 1959. For DEG it was the seventh German championship title.

EHC Freiburg - ES white water 2-0 4: 1 3: 1 -

The question of relegation was again not decided on the ice, but in the association offices of the DEB . The license of the EHC Freiburg was revoked for financial reasons. Since the association's decision was only made after the relegation and the Freiburg team prevailed against last year's relegated team and runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga ES Weißwasser , the Schwenninger ERC , who were already relegated, were allowed to remain in the 1st Bundesliga. Freiburg's place was taken by SB Rosenheim , which returned to the first division with new sponsors after a one-year break.

Play-offs

All play-off rounds were played in the " Best-of-Five " mode.
