Richard Amann (born December 30, 1960 in Mac Gregor , Manitoba ) is a former German - Canadian ice hockey player .

Career

From 1977 to 1981 he played with New Westminster Bruins in the WCHL and in the WHL. In 1981 he moved to the ice hockey Bundesliga at ERC Freiburg . His longest station was the Düsseldorfer EG , where Amann played from 1987 to 1996 . During this time he was German champion four times in succession from 1990 to 1993 . In 1998 he jumped for 12 games again with the Ratinger Ice Aliens .

From September 1996 to May 2005, Amann worked as an expert on ice hockey for German sports television (DSF, now Sport1 ). Amann now lives in Vancouver, Canada, where he works as a manager for an international bank.

International

For the German national ice hockey team Amann took part in the Olympic Games in 1992 and 1994 , as well as two ice hockey world championships and was even team captain in Lillehammer .
