The German speed skating championship was held together with the ice hockey championship . On the final day, a special train was used between Munich and Garmisch.
Attendees
For the first time, only teams that had become champions or runners-up in a sub-association could participate. The following were qualified:
-
North German Ice Sports Association (Berlin):
- Berlin ice skating club (master)
- BFC Preussen Berlin (runner-up)
-
Bavarian Ice Sports Association :
- SC Riessersee (champions)
- EV Füssen (runner-up)
- Southwest German Ice Sports Association:
- Regional Association of East Germany (East Prussia):
The report from VfB Königsberg was withdrawn at short notice, as the East German championship had not yet been finally decided after an objection by VdS Tilsit .
The final game of the Lower Silesian Championship ( Görlitzer TC against Breslauer EV 3: 1) was played on January 29th and thus after the German Championship. The Lower Silesian ESV was therefore unable to report a team.
