The German ice hockey championship in 1912 was the first time these championships were held .

All amateur teams of the German Ice Skating Association (DEV) were eligible to play. The Leipziger SC did not respond to the invitation, the Berlin champions BFC Preussen did not appear and the Academic SC Dresden and the DHC Hanover did not report either, so that ultimately only two teams took part. The German championship is decided in a single game.

Final game

The game for the German championship took place on January 28, 1912 in the Berlin Ice Palace . After two 20 minutes it was a draw. Two extensions of five minutes each brought no decision either. Finally, the game continues until the first hit, which Werner Glimm scores in the 58th minute.
