The German ice hockey championship in 1944 was the 28th edition of these championships . At the same time it formed the 5th and last German War Championship.

At war championships, the clubs were allowed to enter into so-called war syndicates (KSG). In the championship considered here, the Berlin ice skating club and SC Brandenburg Berlin formed such a syndicate (KSG Berlin).
