The 1975/76 season of the ice hockey Bundesliga was the 18th season of the highest German ice hockey league . The German champion was the Berliner SC , which celebrated its 20th title. With this (for the time being) last German championship, he was able to further expand his position as German record champion.

Of the formerly successful Bavarian clubs, as in the two previous years, only EV Landshut was able to occupy one of the top places, while the two-time champions and eight-time runners-up EC Bad Tölz had to relegate to the 2nd Bundesliga . He was replaced by the Augsburger EV , which returned to the Bundesliga after two years.

As in the previous year, the ten teams played the German champions in a double round, so that each club played two home and two away games against the other teams. The last placed had to be relegated at the end of the season and was replaced by the champions of the 2nd Bundesliga .
