Dick Decloe (born May 20, 1953 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian - Dutch ice hockey player and coach .

Career

Dick Decloe began his career as a hockey player in the 1970/71 season with the London Knights in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey Association . After moving to Boston University , he played on the university team with Vic Stanfield, among others . In 1972 he returned to the OHA, where he played with Mark Howe for the Toronto Marlboros .

After a year at IJHC Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie , he moved to Germany for the 1974/75 season for Krefeld EV and immediately became the top scorer and top scorer in the league. In the following three years he was Krefeld's top scorer in the Bundesliga and again top scorer in the 1976/77 season , in which he was runner-up with Krefeld. For the 1978/79 season he moved to the Cologne EC , with which he won the German championship title straight away . Following this success, he signed a contract with Cologne's arch rivals, the Düsseldorfer EG , in whose service he was in 1981 when he reached the runner-up top scorer of the main round and the playoffs. In 1982 he moved to Switzerland for SC Bern , where he ended his career in 1986. In the 1990s he worked in Switzerland as head coach for the EHC Biel, among others .

International

For the Netherlands , Decloe took part in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . He finished ninth with his team.
