Victor "Vic" Stanfield (born May 12, 1951 in Mississauga , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player .
Career
In 1976 Vic Stanfield was brought to Krefeld from Canada by his friend Dick Decloe . Vic Stanfield was a top-class defender with exceptional offensive qualities. This was evident in his outstanding technique and overview of the game structure. His powerful slap shots were feared everywhere.
After the bankruptcy of KEV in 1978 moved Stanfield to the Cologne Sharks and 1979 German champion. But in 1980 he came back to Krefeld.
Vic Stanfield became an ice sports idol in Krefeld. In 1988 Stanfield was officially bid farewell and his number 4 has not been given in his honor since then in Krefeld. From 1990 he was a trainer in Grefrath for one year. He then opened a golf course in Tilton , New Hampshire , USA .
