The 1975/76 season of the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga was the third season of the second highest German ice hockey division under the Bundesliga . The champions Augsburger EV rose directly to the top division and was replaced by the last team in the Bundesliga, EC Bad Tölz . There were no relegated teams, as the 2nd Bundesliga was increased to twelve teams from the 1976/77 season .

As in the previous year, the 2nd Bundesliga was played in a single track and in the form of a double round, so that each club played two home and two away games against the other teams. The champion rose directly to the Bundesliga . The last of the double round was relegated. In the short term, however, the 2nd Bundesliga was increased to twelve teams for the 1976/77 season , so that there was no relegated team.
