The German ice hockey championship in 1922 was the sixth edition of these championships . For the first time, the title did not go to the series champion Berlin ice skating club .
All amateur teams of the German Ice Skating Association (DEV) were eligible to play, but not more than two teams from one town or district. The championship games took place on the Riessersee near Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
