The first regular German ice hockey championship after the Second World War was scheduled for 1947 .

The winners from regional championships in the western zones of occupation, including Berlin, should take part.

Bizone Interzone Championship

The Krefeld ice hockey sponsor Willi Münstermann organized an unofficial German championship until November 1946. This event was subsequently declared the bizone interzone championship .

Only two game results are known.

Unofficial German championship in Munich

Southwest Finals

The Southwest finals took place on February 16 and 17, 1947 in Bad Nauheim . Participants were the two representatives from Hesse and two representatives from Württemberg. The result of the preliminary round game of the Hessian teams was taken over. VfL Bad Nauheim prevailed over the Stuttgart EC. In response to a protest from Stuttgart, Bad Nauheim was disqualified for using unauthorized players and Stuttgart reached the next round.

Bavarian championship

Berlin

In Berlin, the Allied authorities had dissolved all civil associations and initially only allowed the formation of municipal sports groups . Three regional teams were formed: West (SG Eichkamp, ​​which essentially consisted of the team of the record champions Berlin Ice Skating Club), South (SG Tempelhof) and North (SG Pankow).

The game was played in the ruins of the Berlin Sports Palace and in Berlin-Pankow . In February 1947, SG Eichkamp became champions ahead of SG Tempelhof.

North German Championship
