history

In the 1947/48 season, the EV Tegernsee qualified third in the "Bavarian Championship" for the final round of the German Championship. In autumn 1949 the EVT was able to prevail as champions of the Bavarian regional league in qualifying against HC Stuttgart and qualify for the top division in Germany at the time - the Oberliga . In the 1950/51 season, the EVT was subject to the EV Rosenheim in the relegation game for relegation for the group south and rose again and was dissolved in the fall of 1952

The sport of ice hockey was later continued at the Eissportclub Tegernsee (ECT) , which was founded in 1952 and which has certainly participated in the leagues of the Bavarian Ice Sports Association until 1993/94 and which still operates an ice hockey department today. The team has been playing in the NoCheck Hobby League since the 2011/12 season and has since won the championship title four times in a row. The ECT used to operate a natural ice rink in Tegernsee, which used to be used for ice hockey games. Since 2007 the EC Tegernsee has been playing in the club's own, newly built artificial ice arena on the shooting range.
