Walter Schmidinger (also Walter Schmiedinger ; born March 3, 1919 in the area of ​​what later became Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Weimar Republic ) is a former German ice hockey player and member of the Hall of Fame of the German ice hockey museum .

Career

From 1932 to 1934 he played for SC Riessersee . From 1936 he played for the Düsseldorfer EG until 1940 , and from 1937 to 1939 he also played as a guest player at the Krefelder EV . In 1940 he moved back to SC Riessersee, where he played again until 1951, with whom he won multiple German championships. From the 1951/52 season he moved back to Krefeld EV, where he was again German champion. From 1952 to 1954 he moved back to SC Riessersee.

Internationally, he played for the German national ice hockey team at the ice hockey world championships from 1937 to 1939 , where he took 3rd place with the national team in the European championship.
