The Bavarian Ice Hockey Championship 1923/24 was held on January 27, 1924 on the Rießersee near Garmisch . The Bavarian champion was the SC Riessersee , whose ice hockey department was only founded on December 23, 1923. Many players from the leading Munich clubs MTV 1879 Munich and Munich EV had converted to the SCR.
The newly founded ice hockey department of 1. FC Nürnberg registered for the Bavarian championship without having participated in the northern Bavarian championship.
