The northern Bavarian champion was able to report from northern Bavaria:

Between January 4 and 6, 1929, an elimination match was scheduled between Füssen and Munich. The winner of this game should meet the north Bavarian champions (HG Nürnberg), also determined by January 6, in the semifinals. The winner of the semi-finals (Füssen) then met defending champion Riessersee in the final.

Before the final, the two finalists (Füssen and Riessersee) started at the German Ice Hockey Championship in 1929 .
