Inline hockey world championship
The term inline hockey world championship stands for inline hockey tournaments of the international sports associations World Skate (formerly FIRS) and International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and has been held annually in summer since 1995 and 1996 respectively .
So far, only World Skate has held women's and juniors' world championships, while the IIHF only organizes men's world championships.
World Championships of the IIHF
Men's
16 teams compete against each other, eight each in an A group and the others in a B group. In both groups, two groups are again divided, from which the placement games then result. The last two of the B group descend to the lower group.
The playing area is 60 × 30 m and the competitions take place in ice rinks. The puck used is black.
