The stadium Zimowy w Tychach ( German winter stadium in Tichau ) is a municipal ice rink in the Upper Silesian town of Tychy . It is the home venue of the ice hockey club GKS Tychy , which plays in the Polish ice hockey league.
The stadium was officially opened on December 4, 1968, in 1974 the ice rink was covered and in 1978 stands and all walls were built.
In the ice stadium were u. a. Hosted games of the following tournaments:
- Junior Ice Hockey World Championship 1992
- 2012 U20 Junior Ice Hockey World Championship
- Ice Hockey World Championship for U18 Juniors 2013
