Career
Nicolas Deschamps began his career in 2007/08 with the Saguenéens de Chicoutimi . There he was awarded the Trophée Michel Bergeron as the best newcomer among the offensive players of the LHJMQ. After he was able to reach 65 points for Chicoutimi in 65 games in the 2008/09 season, he played two games with the Iowa Chops . He started the 2009/10 season at Chicoutimi, but moved to the Moncton Wildcats after 31 games . He then played for Syracuse Crunch (2010-12), the Toronto Marlies (2011-13) and the Hershey Bears (2012-14) in the AHL .
Deschamps moved to the Finnish first division club Oulun Kärpät in 2014 . There he completed eight games in the Liiga and was used four times in the Champions Hockey League . After the attacker could not meet the expectations placed in him, the contract was terminated. He then moved to the Straubing Tigers in the DEL at the end of October 2014 , where he received a two-month contract. Deschamps then moved to the Vienna Capitals from the Austrian Ice Hockey League (EBEL) in December 2014 , where his contract was terminated by mutual agreement in February 2015 after only 10 games and he returned to North America. The left shooter then ran for the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL, but by the end of the season he also played numerous games for the Florida Everblades farm team in the third-tier East Coast Hockey League .
In the summer of 2015, the Canadian decided to move to Europe again and has been on the ice for IK Oskarshamn in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan since the beginning of the 2015/16 season .
