He was both in 2012 (together with his compatriot Artjom Gornostajev ) and 2013 top scorer of the B group of Division II and achieved promotion to the A group of Division II in 2013 with the Estonian team. 2011, 2012 and In 2013 he was named the best player in the Estonian U20 team .
As a 16-year-old Rooba made his debut for the men's national team at the 2010 World Cup in Division II , when the Balts were promoted to Division I. After he and his team had to accept an immediate relegation a year later , he was involved in the renewed promotion to Division I in 2012 with three goals and five assists. The renewed relegation of the Estonians, who have developed into an elevator team between Divisions I and II, he could not prevent in 2013 at the tournament of Group B of Division I in Donetsk . In 2014 he not only gave the most assists and scored the highest number of scorer points at the Group II tournament in Belgrade , but was also voted the best striker of the tournament and the best player on his team. With six goals he was also the second best goalscorer of the tournament after the Serbian Marko Kovačević . He was thus one of the guarantors of the repeated promotion of the Estonian team to Division I. At the 2015 World Cup , he finally managed to get out of the elevator with the Balts and achieve relegation in Division I. Also in 2016 , when he contributed to relegation as top scorer (together with British Ben O'Connor ) and top scorer (together with Croat Mike Glumac ) and the best player of his team, in 2017 and 2018 he played in Division I.
