Artjom Gornostajev (born August 17, 1993 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Muik Hockey since 2011 and with the club in Suomi-sarja , Finland's third-highest division, since 2015 .

Career

Artyom Gornostajev began his career as a hockey player with Purikad Tallinn , for whom he made his debut in the Estonian league at the age of 14 . In 2010 he moved to Serebrjannyje Lwi, a club of the Eastern European youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga . With the team from St. Petersburg he only finished last in the Northeast Division. He then moved to Finland, where he played for Muik Hockey since 2011, initially in the II-divisioona , the fourth-highest division in the country. In 2015 he was promoted to Suomi-sarja with the club .

International

For Estonia , Gornostajev took part in the junior division in Division II at the 2011 U18 World Cup , when he was not only captain of the Baltic team, but was also the top scorer and best preparer of the tournament, as well as the 2011 and 2012 U20 World Championships as his best Prepared and, together with his compatriot Robert Rooba, was also the top scorer of the tournament, and took part in 2013 , when he was the top scorer and second best scorer of the tournament behind Rooba.

In the senior division, Gornostajev was nominated for the 2014 Division II World Championship for the first time when he and his team were promoted to Division I. There he played at the World Championships in 2017 and 2018 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang as well as in the Baltic Cup tournaments in 2016 and 2017.
