Kristian Kuusela (born February 19, 1983 in Seinäjoki ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Tappara Tampere in the Liiga since February 2017 .

Career

Kristian Kuusela, who played for Tappara Tampere in his youth , made his professional ice hockey debut in the 2001/02 season when he was on the ice four times for FPS Forssa in Mestis , Finland's second-highest division. The attacker was then committed by the first division club Ässät Pori , for whom he played in the SM-liiga from 2002 to 2007 . Towards the end of the 2006/07 season , Kuusela moved to the Modo Hockey Club from the Swedish Elitserien , with whom he then became champions. Before the 2007/08 season , Kuusela was signed by the Finnish top club Kärpät Oulu , with whom he became champions at the end of the season. Also in the 2008/09 season Kuusela reached the finals with Oulu, but lost there with his team JYP Jyväskylä .

For the 2011/12 season, Kuusela moved within the SM-liiga to the Espoo Blues , for which he completed over 130 games in the SM-liiga by 2013. He then returned to his hometown club Tappara.
