Frederik Storm (born February 20, 1989 in Gentofte ) is a Danish ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Malmö Redhawks since 2012 and has played with the club in the Svenska Hockeyligan since 2015 .
Career
Frederik Storm began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of IC Gentofte , for whose senior team he made his debut in the second Danish division, the 1st division , in the 2004/05 season . The winger then moved to the Herlev Hornets , for whose professional team he played in the AL-Bank Ligaen from 2005 to 2009 . For the 2009/10 season he moved within the league to SønderjyskE Ishockey , with whom he immediately won the Danish championship title and the national cup competition. In the following season he won the Danish cup competition again with the team.
For the 2011/12 season Storm returned to the Herlev Eagles. There he was able to convince with 48 scorer points in a total of 44 games and was voted into the All-Star team as well as the best player in the league. He was then committed by the Malmö Redhawks from HockeyAllsvenskan , the second Swedish division. With the club from Skåne , he was promoted to the Svenska Hockeyligan in 2015 .
International
For Denmark, Storm took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championship Division I 2007 and the U20 Junior World Championship Division I 2009 .
At senior level he was at the World Championships in 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 and 2016 in the line-up of his country . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 and in Pyeongchang in 2018 .
