Jakub Witecki (born July 21, 1990 in Powroźnik ) is a Polish ice hockey player who has been under contract with GKS Tychy in the Ekstraliga since 2009 .

Career

Jakub Witecki started his career in the youth department of KTH Krynica . At the age of 16, he left for his homeland in Lesser Poland and went to the youth academy of the Polish Ice Hockey Association in Sosnowiec, for whose team he was active in the I league , the second highest division in Poland. In 2009 he moved to the Ekstraliga for GKS Tychy , for which he has been active ever since. With the team from the Silesian mining town, he was Polish cup winner in 2010 and 2017 and Polish runner-up in 2011 and 2014. In 2015 and 2018 he won the championship and cup double with his team .

International

For Poland , Witecki took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championships in Division I 2007 and 2008 and the U20 Junior World Championships in Division I in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 .

In the senior division, he was part of the Poles' squad at the Division I World Championships in 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 and 2018 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2014 Games .
