Tomáš Sýkora (born July 4, 1990 in Banská Bystrica ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) since the 2019/20 season . His uncle Otto Sýkora was also a hockey player.
Career
Tomáš Sýkora began his ice hockey career at his home club HC Banská Bystrica , where he played from the U18 to the men's team. In the 2007/08 season he won the championship in the second division, but only contributed two games. In 2010 Tomáš moved to the second-rate first division within Slovakia for HK Brezno , where he was very convincing in only 15 games and scored 24 points .
After a short time at HK Brezno, the Slovak ice hockey striker came under the then Czech second division HC Chrudim and then moved to the Slovakian extra league for MsHK Žilina and laced his skates for the club for two seasons. The HK Poprad undertook to forward to the 2013/14 season , in the season of Slovakia also completed his first three games for the Slovak national team . In the 2015/16 season Sýkora completed 40 games for PSG Zlín , but could not bring the hoped-for performance and played again in the following season for MsHK Zilina, HK Dukla Trenčín and KS Cracovia . The striker also played for KS Cracovia beyond the 2016/17 season and became Polish champions in the 2017/18 season . Sýkora switched to league rivals GKS Tychy , scored the most goals in the league in the 2018/19 season and also won the championship with Tychy.
For the 2019/20 season he moved to Germany to the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven .
