Will Weber (born October 28, 1988 in Gaylord , Michigan ) is an American - German ice hockey player . He has been under contract with Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven since May 2018 .

career

Weber's Canadian  father played ice hockey at Cornell University  in the United States .

Between 2008 and 2012 Weber studied and played at Miami University  in the US state of Ohio , where he rose to the position of team captain before making  his professional debut in the American Hockey League in April 2012 wearing the Springfield Falcons . During the 2012/13 season Weber also gained some gaming experience at the Evansville IceMen  in the ECHL , but was mostly on the ice for the Springfield Falcons until the end of the 2014/15 season.

In the 2015/16 season he played two AHL games for San Antonio Rampage , then Weber was a regular at Fort Wayne Komets  in the ECHL. In 2017 he took the plunge to Germany  and was signed by the Eispiraten Crimmitschau ( DEL2 ) during the 2017 summer break . After a year in Crimmitschau he went to the German Ice Hockey League , at the end of May 2018 he was announced as a new addition by the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven .
