Christian Hilbrich (born July 9, 1992 in Gentofte , Denmark ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven in the DEL since the 2019/20 season .

Career

The Danish- born ice hockey player's career began in Chicago , where he completed two seasons before moving to Wenatchee Wild in the North American Hockey League , for which he only played one season. The following season he went to the United States Hockey League for the Indiana Ice , for which he scored a total of 52 points scorer. After his two-year stay in the USHL, he began studying at Cornell University , for which he even served as captain last season .

After his studies he went to the American Hockey League for the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins , after six games he went to the ECHL , where he played 65 games for the Wheeling Nailers . The Toledo Walleye signed him for the 2017/18 season , meanwhile he played four games for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL.

After the striker tried his luck in the USA for many years , he switched to the Eispiraten Crimmitschau in the DEL2 for the 2018/19 season . Since the 2019/20 season he has been playing in the German Ice Hockey League for the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven .
