Anders Krogsgaard (born April 19, 1996 in Esbjerg ) is a Danish ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) since the 2020/21 season . His brother Jonas Krogsgaard is also a hockey player.
Career
The Danish defender started playing ice hockey in his hometown Esbjerg , where he went through the youth section of the local club Esbjerg IK . In the 2012/13 season he played for the first time in what was then the AL-Bank Ligaen for the professional EfB Ishockey team . In the following years, Krogsgaard developed into a regular player in the first-class Danish ice hockey league. In the 2014/15 season he lost in the final with Esbjerg Energy against SønderjyskE Ishockey . In the following seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17 he was able to celebrate the championship title with Esbjerg .
In addition, the offensive defender was able to gain experience in the Champions Hockey League in 2016/17 and 2017/18 . Anders Krogsgaard left his hometown for the first time in the 2019/20 season and joined the Aalborg Pirates . In March 2020 the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven announced that they had signed the Danish defender.
International
Already in the 2011/12 season Krogsgaard ran for the Danish U16 national team. The following year he took part with Denmark in the U18 World Junior Championship of Division IA , where he made it to the top division with the team. In 2014 he again took part in the U18 Junior World Championship and led the team onto the ice as captain . He also played with the U20 team at the U20 Junior World Championship in Division IA . There, too, he was promoted, so that in 2015 he was able to participate in the U20 Junior World Championship in the top division. After celebrating relegation with the Danish U20 national team, he also led the team on the ice as captain in 2016 .
In 2016, Krogsgaard was appointed to his country's senior national team for the first time .
