Carson McMillan (born September 10, 1988 in Brandon , Manitoba ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) since the 2018/19 season .
Career
His career began McMillan in his youth in his native Brandon in the province of Manitoba . In 2005 he completed four games for the Winkler Flyers and then started his junior career in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Calgary Hitmen . After four years of play he went to the professionals in the American Hockey League (AHL) to the Houston Eros , from where he got his chance in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Minnesota Wild after a season , from the 2010/11 season to for the 2013/14 season he played a total of 16 games for the Minnesota Wild, the remaining game days he spent in the AHL with the Houston Eros and in the 2013/14 season with the Iowa Wild . In the AHL, McMillan played for the Toronto Marlies and Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the 2014/15 season , and he also played 22 games in the ECHL for the Orlando Solar Bears .
In the ECHL, the Canadian led the Idaho Steelheads as captain on the ice, but only for one season, after which he moved to Denmark to Esbjerg Energy . After two seasons in Esbjerg, Carson McMillan ended up in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) to the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven , for whom he has been storming since 2018.
