history

Zimní stadium Chrudim

In 1931 the ice hockey department of the AFK Chrudim was founded, which took part in the regional game operation in the following years (today krajský přebor ). At the end of the 1950s, the ice hockey department of the club, now renamed Sokol Transporta , was dissolved. It was not until 1974 that the board of directors of TJ Transporta Chrudim decided to resume gaming operations and build an ice rink. This was inaugurated a year later.

Until the early 1990s, the club continued to play on a regional level, but at that time made it to the third-class II. NHL. But in 1993 the relegation to regional gaming operations followed. It was not until 2001 that it was promoted to the 2nd division, in which the club established itself in the following years. 2008 succeeded with the championship title of this third division promotion to the first division.

As a result, there was a partnership with HC Pardubice from the extra league, so that especially young players from both clubs were given the opportunity to gain practice in the other league. In 2011, HC Chrudim's game operations were stopped due to a lack of funding and the club was dissolved. As a result, a new club with the same name was founded, but only operates amateur and junior ice hockey.
