Gustav Possler (born November 11, 1994 in Södertälje ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been playing for MODO Hockey in the Swedish Svenska Hockeyligan since 2010 . Possler is considered a fast and technically adept offensive player who can bring his skills as a goal maker in creative play and especially in power play to advantage.

His brother Zebastian is also a professional hockey player and currently in Tegs SK in the Hockeyettan active.

Career

At the beginning of his career, Possler first played in the youth teams at IF Björklöven and Luleå HF in various junior leagues before moving to the youth division of MODO Hockey in January 2011 . There he made his professional debut in the Elitserien during the current season 2011/12 and has established himself as a regular in the MODO squad after a brief loan to Mora IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan .

Possler was selected in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in 130th position by the Buffalo Sabers .
