Ryan Duncan (born July 14, 1985 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who, among other things, spent eight seasons with EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian ice hockey league .

Career

Ryan Duncan began his career as a hockey player with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, for which he was active in the British Columbia Hockey League in the 2004/05 season . The attacker then played for the University of North Dakota team for four years . During this period he was voted Best Player of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association in 2007 and received the Hobey Baker Memorial Award for Best Male Ice Hockey Player of the National Collegiate Athletic Association . For the Bridgeport Sound Tigers from the American Hockey League , he made his professional ice hockey debut towards the end of the 2008/09 season, having previously signed a try-out contract with the New York Islanders farm team . For the 2009/10 season, the Canadian moved to EC Red Bull Salzburg from the Austrian ice hockey league before returning to North America in summer 2011.

In the 2013/14 season he was with EHC Red Bull Munich in the German ice hockey league before returning to EC Salzburg within the Red Bull group.
