Dario Simion (born May 22, 1994 in Locarno ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been playing for EV Zug in the Swiss National League since June 2018 .

Career

Simion spent a large part of his junior time in the youth team at HC Ambrì-Piotta , where he played until 2009 - most recently in the club's U17 team. The striker then moved to HC Lugano , where he made it into the NLA squad of the HCL in the 2010/11 season via the A-Juniors .

In the following season, Simion established himself as a regular player, but continued to play sporadically in the A-Juniors. This also applied to the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons . In December 2013, the winger signed a two-year contract with HC Davos , which will be valid from the start of the 2014/15 season . In his first year there, he was able to celebrate the Swiss championship title with the Grisons .

In June 2018 he left the HCD despite the current contract and switched to EV Zug , where he received a two-year contract.

International

Simion was able to win the bronze medal with the U17 selection of Switzerland at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2011 . He then took part in the ice hockey world championships for the U18 juniors in 2011 and 2012 and the U20 juniors in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 for his home country .
