Erik Thorell (born March 3, 1992 in Karlstad ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with EV Zug in the National League since 2019 . His brothers Gustaf and Oskar are also ice hockey players.

Career

Erik Thorell began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Färjestad BK , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Elitserien , Sweden's top division, in the 2009/10 season . In the following season , the winger won the Swedish championship with the team . From 2009 to 2011 he was also active as a loan player for Skåre BK from the third division Division 1 and in the 2010/11 season for IF Sundsvall Hockey from the second division HockeyAllsvenskan .

In 2013 he moved to the Rögle BK in HockeyAllsvenskan .

International

For Sweden Thorell took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2010 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2012 . At the U18 World Cup in 2010, he and his team won the silver medal.
