Career
Welser made his debut at the EC KAC in the highest Austrian league in the 1999/2000 season at the age of 16 . He also played for the Telekom team in the National League this season. On September 19, 2017, he suffered a stroke and had to end the season early. In November 2017, Welser announced his retirement from competitive sports, and EC Red Bull Salzburg then blocked his jersey number # 20.
