Mika Oksa began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with the Espoo Blues , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 1995/96 season . For the following season, the goalkeeper moved to FPS Forssa in the then still second class I divisioona . He stayed there from 1997 to 1999, when he was under contract with Ahmat Hyvinkää . He then returned to his ex-club from Espoo, for which he played in the SM-liiga for a total of six years until 2005. After he started the 2005/06 season at Timrå IK in the Swedish Elitserien , he finished it at HC Lugano in the Swiss National League A , in which he remained without use.

In the summer of 2006 Oksa was signed by the reigning Finnish champion HPK Hämeenlinna , with whom he lost 6-0 to the Russian opponent Ak Bars Kazan in the final of the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2007 . He then stood for two years for HPK's league rivals KalPa Kuopio between the posts before signing a contract with HK Dinamo Minsk from the Continental Hockey League for the 2009/10 season . Oksa was initially used exclusively for HK Schachzjor Salihorsk , the farm team Dinamos, in the Belarusian extra league, before he completed five KHL games for Dinamo at the beginning of the following season. As a result, he was used in the new partner team, the HK Junost Minsk from the Extraliga, with which he won the Continental Cup and the Belarusian championship. Oksa has been under contract with Junost since 2011.
