Denis Evgenjewitsch Kotschetkow ( Russian Денис Евгеньевич Кочетков ; born March 27, 1980 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with HK Donbass Donetsk in the Continental Hockey League . His brother Sergei is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Denis Kotschetkow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Dinamo-Energija Yekaterinburg , for whose professional team he was in the Super League from 1999 to 2002 and, after relegation in the 2000/01 season, in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division was active. From 1998 to 2000 the attacker had also played for Dinamo-Energija's second team in the third-rate Pervaya League . At the same time, he was on the ice during this period as a loan player for the second division Kedr Nowouralsk . From 2002 to 2005 he played for the second division clubs Mostowik Kurgan , Sauralje Kurgan and HK Metschel Tscheljabinsk . In the 2004/05 season he also came to a use for Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk from the super league.

From 2005 to 2008 Kotschetkow was under contract in the super league, first for six months with Molot-Prikamje Perm and then two and a half years with HK Sibir Novosibirsk . The 2008/09 season spent the left shooter at Severstal Tscherepowez , his ex-club Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk and the Kazakh club Barys Astana in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . For the following season , the Russian was signed by the Belarusian capital club HK Dinamo Minsk , for which he has played in the KHL since then. In addition, he came for his cooperation partner HK Homel in his first season at Dinamo to 22 appearances in the extra league , in which he scored 23 points scorer.

After he started the 2009/10 season at Dinamo Minsk, he moved to HK Junost Minsk in the Extraliga after eleven games , for which he played six games. In early December 2010 he was signed by Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . From August 2011, Kochetkow was under contract with HK Donbass Donetsk .
