Takera Narita
Takera Narita ( Japanese 成 田 武 羅 , Narita Takera; born October 13, 1939 in Tokyo Prefecture , † 2001 in Paris ) was a Japanese sculptor. He lived and worked in Paris until his death.
life and work
Takera Narita studied from 1966 to 1969 at the Musashino Art School in Tokyo. Like many other young Japanese artists, he went abroad at the beginning of his career. Narita went to Paris, where he completed his studies at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts .
As a stone sculptor , Narita has participated in various sculpture symposiums in Europe and Canada , including:
- Sculpture symposium in the Springhornhof in 1967 in Neuenkirchen in the Lüneburg Heath
- 1968 Lindabrunn sculpture symposium in Enzesfeld-Lindabrunn (Austria)
- 1969 International working symposium for stone sculptors in the city of Soest (Germany)
- 1969/70 Oggelshausen sculpture symposium in Oggelshausen (Germany)
- 1971 International Stone Carver Symposium in Sankt Wendel (Germany)
- 1983 Symposium Center Internationale d'art et du paysage de Vassivière (France)
- 1986 Sculpture Symposium Montreal in Montréal (Canada)
In 1980 and 1981 he exhibited at the Salon de la Jeune Sculpture in Paris.
