Park for unwanted sculptures: Untitled (1983) by Gustav Reinhardt in Neuenkirchen-Tewel

The Art Landscape Springhornhof is the art collection of the Art Association & Foundation Springhornhof in Neuenkirchen in Lower Saxony .

description

The collection of works of art consists of objects from Land Art , installations , conceptual art and sculptures that were created on site in the sculpture symposia of 1977 ( 1977 symposium ) and 1978 ( 1979 symposium ). Since then, these works of art have been regularly supplemented by new works by German and international sculptors at longer intervals . The sculptures are created in the community of Neuenkirchen and in villages in the surrounding area (in Behningen, Brochdorf, Gilmerdingen, Ilhorn and Tewel), creating a sculpture park or  sculpture path amidst other works of art.

reception

Neuenkirchen is also called the Documenta Village of the Heath because of the works of art . The art-landscape projects are assigned supra-regional importance.
