Hawoli
Hawoli (born September 13, 1935 in Bleckede , real name Hans-Wolfgang Lingemann) is a painter and sculptor from Lower Saxony .
biography
The artist began studying engineering in 1956 and has been working as a freelance painter since 1962. Since the beginning of the 1970s, he has also been creating larger sculptures, often made of natural stone and steel. One of his larger works in public space is “Fragment” , four fallen red-black granite pillars in front of the House of the Reich in Bremen .
From 1965 to 1973 Lingemann lived and worked in the Halfmannshof artists' settlement in Gelsenkirchen . In 1972 Hawoli contributed to the program sheet project InformationKulturUnna│iku: "ON THE OTHER SIDE • Texts, Graphics, Concepts, Notes" (1972–1974) of the city of Unna Collagen, which was initiated and edited by Gerd Hergen Lübben .
Hawoli is a member of the German Association of Artists . He lives and works on the Springhornhof in Neuenkirchen near Soltau . Much of his work can be found in the region there, for example as part of the Springhornhof art landscape .
Hawoli and his work were included in the “ Lower Saxony artist database and estate archive ”.
