Gerd Hergen Lübben (born May 31, 1937 in Sillenstede , Friesland district ) is a German author and cultural and educational worker.

Life

Gerd Hergen Lübben was born in 1937 in Sillenstede , Friesland district. He went to school in Jever and Oldenburg and studied philosophy, literature and musicology, dramaturgy, comparative religion and ethnology in Göttingen and Bonn .

He found employment u. a. As a construction worker, director, journalist, adult education center lecturer in Wuppertal , 1970–1972, head of the cultural department in Unna , 1972–1974, adult education center in Unna, 1974–1978 in Essen , 1978–1995 and as a lecturer at the comprehensive universities in Wuppertal (literature) and Essen (Further education).

Lübben founded the “ Stage for Sensual Perception - KONZIL ” (Bonn, 1961–1963). He took part in the "Frankfurt Forum for Literature" (1966 1967), the Frankfurt "Literary Fair" (1968) and the "First Congress of Theater Authors" (Essen; 1993), and was involved in the merger of German literature workshops to form the " Werkkreis Literatur der Arbeitswelt ”(Cologne 1970) and the founding of the“ Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft ”(Dortmund 1975), and he helped organize intercommunal cultural festivals (“ URBS '71 ”in Wuppertal, “ KULTUR '90 ” in Essen).

Gerd Hergen Lübben : Culture is - transparent - "hung out of the window".

In the mid-1970s, Lübben shaped the cultural life of the city of Unna, in whose service he helped to develop and promote an overall concept for education, culture and leisure from 1972 to 1978, following a comprehensive inventory. In February 1974 the culture committee of the council of the city of Unna adopted its first "cultural policy principles" presented by Lübben and the concept for a municipal "cultural development plan". Under Lübben's leadership, an agreement was drawn up for the adult education center as a communal further education institution with the neighboring communities of Fröndenberg and Holzwickede and passed in the council meetings. - From 1978 Lübben was director of the community college of the city of Essen and developed a cooperation with the theaters and the museums.

In the course of the cultural and political optimism in Unnag, the city's cultural department was able to professionally equip it and, in accordance with Lübben's motto, Less “event organizerculture for spaces”, more “openness space for culture”! be designed with children's painting festivals, as well as promoting exhibition, film, theater and concert series, including the legendary series JAZZ AKTUELL . In the series appeared - partly as a soloist, partly in the current grouping -: Dollar Brand (= Abdullah Ibrahim ), Peter Brötzmann , Han Bennink and Fred Van Hove , " Wolfgang Dauner etcetera", Gunter Hampel and Jeanne Lee , Albert Mangelsdorff , Dave Pike , Alexander von Schlippenbach , Peter Kowald and Manfred Schoof , Tomasz Stańko , Ralph Towner and Detlef Schönenberg / Günter Christmann + Pina Bausch :

Lübben is a member of the Association of German Writers (VS); at times he was the spokesman for the VS district of Ruhr. Lübben has u. a. Scientific and professional articles, poems and logorhythms, film texts and plays ( emphases for stage) published.

Among his literary works have been repeatedly published and quoted poems like that on one of Heinrich Heine in the novel fragment Rabbi of Bacharach used blood libel relating ballad text Fund to Bacherach , also known as cantata set to music and listed sonnet cycle year after year to the basic sonnet crocus in march as well as the texts Vom Rolandsystem and Vom Essener Marcus, called Logorhythms .

Gerd Hergen Lübben has been living in Bonn again since 1999 . He is married to the actress and puppet theater founder Karin Lübben ; they have two sons together; Jörn Felix Lübben (* 1966) is a university professor and Tobias Lübben (* 1973) is a journalist.
