Frank Göhre (born December 16, 1943 in Tetschen-Bodenbach ) is a German writer .

Life

Frank Göhre grew up in Bochum and attended grammar school there up to the lower secondary school . From 1959 to 1962 he completed a commercial apprenticeship and from 1962 to 1964 an apprenticeship as a bookseller . He then practiced this profession in Cologne , Bochum and Essen . From 1970 to 1973 he worked as a library employee in Wattenscheid . From 1973 he lived as a freelance writer in Neuenkirchen / Lüneburger Heide ; from 1977 he was a partner and editor of the Weismann publishing house in Munich . Since 1981 he has lived as a freelance writer in Hamburg . Since 1996 he has been a lecturer at the Film Academy in Ludwigsburg and head of screenplay - workshops .

Frank Göhre is the author of novels , short stories , scripts and radio plays . After he had initially devoted himself mainly to topics from the lives of young people, he later turned to the detective novel ; In addition, he worked on scripts for television series such as Tatort and Großstadtrevier as well as feature films (including Downward ). For the screenplay for Sönke Wortmann's film St. Pauli Nacht he was awarded the German Screenplay Prize. He also re- edited Friedrich Glauser's crime novels in the 1980s .

Frank Göhre is a member of the Association of German Writers and the working group “Literature of the Working World” .
