Sonnet wreath
A sonnet wreath (Italian and English corona ) is a strictly regulated form of a cycle of poems woven from several sonnets . It consists of 14 + 1 individual sonnets, whereby the last line of the first sonnet also corresponds to the first line of the second sonnet, the last line of the second sonnet also corresponds to the first line of the third and so on, up to the 14th sonnet, the last line of which in turn corresponds to the first line of the first sonnet, resulting in a wreath shape. The 15th sonnet, the so-called master sonnet or Italian magistrale, consists of all the beginning and ending lines of the individual sonnet in an unchanged order. The full form was first described in Italy in the 18th century and made it into Germany as a fad in the 19th century. Your first important representative in the German language was Josef Weinheber .
