Sauralje Kurgan ( Russian Зауралье Курган ) is a Russian ice hockey club from Kurgan founded in 1961 . The team plays in the Wysschaya Hockey League and plays its home games in the Mostovik Ice Palace. The club colors are red, white, black and blue.
history
The club was founded in 1961. The club participated in several seasons in the second division in the Soviet Union and later Russia. After the turn of the millennium, the club was able to establish itself in professional hockey and played in the second-rate Wysschaja League until 2010 . For the 2010/11 season , the team was finally included in their successor league Wysschaja Hockey League .
Sauralje Kurgan acts as the farm team of KHL participant Metallurg Novokuznetsk .
