Alexei Michailowitsch Bulatow ( Russian Алексей Михайлович Булатов ; born January 24, 1978 in Sverdlovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg from the Continental Hockey League since 2010 and 2012 .
Career
Alexei Bulatow began his career as a hockey player at Dinamo-Energija Yekaterinburg , for whose professional team he initially played in the Super League from 1997 to 1999 and - after relegation with Yekaterinburg the previous year - in the 1998/99 season in the Vysschaja Liga , the second Russian division , was active. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 1999 in the ninth round as a total of 254th player by the New York Rangers , for which he however never played. Instead, the attacker was under contract with Severstal Tscherepowez and Salawat Julajew Ufa in the Superliga, and HK Spartak Moscow in the Wysschaja Liga during the 1999/2000 season .
From 2000 to 2002 Bulatow played for Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the super league, and then also for two years for Mostowik Kurgan and Sauralje Kurgan in the Wysschaja Liga. This was followed by one season each in the super league at Molot-Prikamje Perm , as well as his ex-club Severstal Tscherepowez, before he was on the ice from 2006 to 2008 for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Vysschaya League. In the summer of 2008 Skorokhodow signed with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk from the Vysschaya League, with which he was second division champion in the following two years and in 2010 also rose to the Continental Hockey League . Also the 2010/11 season began Bulatov at HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, before he was committed after four games by Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.
He started the 2011/12 season with Yekaterinburg's farm team Sputnik Nizhny Tagil in the Vysschaya Hockey League and was later loaned to Molot-Prikamje Perm . Until the end of October 2012, Bulatov was under contract with Awtomobilist before he was released from it.
