Andrei Sergejewitsch Taratuchin ( Russian Андрей Сергеевич Таратухин ; born February 22, 1983 in Omsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Taratuchin began his career in the second team of HK Awangard Omsk in the third-rate Pervaya League , for which he played until 2001. During the 2001 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected by the Calgary Flames in the second round in a total of 41st place. There was then the change to the second division Mostowik Kurgan , which he left after a season. He went back to Omsk and stormed there for the first time in the super league before the left shooter was transferred to HK Metschel Chelyabinsk . In 2004, the center completed a season with Salawat Yulayev Ufa and went to league rivals Lokomotiv Yaroslavl after the end of the season .
For the 2006/07 season, Taratuchin moved to the North American American Hockey League for the first time when he accepted an offer from the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights . This left after a year and was again committed by Salawat. With the club he was Russian champion in 2008 and completed over 250 games for the club in the Super League and Continental Hockey League by 2012 .
In July 2012 he returned to his hometown club in Omsk and subsequently completed 56 KHL games for Omsk before being signed by Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk for a year in September 2013 .
In the 2014/15 season he was under contract with Atlant Moskovskaya Oblast , then one season each with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk and Metallurg Novokuznetsk .
