Tuomas Kiiskinen (born October 7, 1986 in Kuopio ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Växjö Lakers Hockey in the Svenska Hockeyligan since June 2014 .

Career

Tuomas Kiiskinen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of KalPa Kuopio , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Mestis , the second Finnish division, in the 2004/05 season . From 2004 to 2012 the winger was regularly on the ice for KalPa Kuopio in the SM-liiga . The Finn then signed a contract with HK Donbass Donetsk from Ukraine.

In 2013 he won the IIHF Continental Cup with HK Donbass . The following year he finished with his team in the same competition in second place behind the Stavanger Oilers . After the club withdrew from the KHL due to the crisis in Eastern Ukraine, Kiiskinen moved to the Svenska Hockeyligan for the Växjö Lakers Hockey .

International

For Finland , Kiiskinen took part in the 2012 World Cup. He was also in his country's squad for the Euro Hockey Tour in 2010 and 2012 .
